The Hong Kong Branch of the Royal Over-Seas League was launched with a cocktail reception at the Hong Kong Club in 1999. The Cousular Corps of Hong Kong was invited, and the guest speaker was Mr. David Tang OBE, who soon afterwards became a very supportive Patron of the Hong Kong Branch.

Since then, a wide variety of functions has been arranged; sometimes jointly with other organisations, for ROSL members and guests.
